Kern wins South; Slam,
Bonnett keep rolling; North suprises The final night of the IBA Regular Season was wild.
Bonnett kept rolling, they are No. 1 in the North. Kern's big second half led them to a
win over Shaw to get the top spot in the South. Slam rounded out the one loss teams,
winning their fourth straight Tuesday. Jungman beat Hylle, Frisby beat Titze, and Prue
beat Burger all by two points.

eight-point victory over Team Frisby. Team Hylle outlasted Team Kruse, Team Picchietti set

FISHER FIRED
Nathan Auch hired as new consultant
Trevor Fisher
Ex-Consultant
Nathan Auch
PTR4CSD
New Consultant
It was
announced late last week by your Prime Time Representatives for Central South Dakota
(PTR4CSD) Kevin Hall & Chris Iverson that Trevor Fisher, who had not appeared at an
IBA game since opening night, was fired from his duties as consultant to Hall and Iverson.
"Prime Time" Nathan Auch was immediately hired to take his place.
Hall told IBA ONline's Dan Rathernot "I like actually seeing our consultant at
the IBA games, I have more faith in Nate than our previous consultant."
Iverson added "I'm happy to have a consultant who has input in our decisions,
not one who passively says 'oh yea, me too,'."
Auch, who is a Governor basketball player along with Iverson and Hall, said "I
will not jack around, Jill has no leash on me."
He went on to add "I will fulfill my role as Prime Time Representative, unlike
Fisher Rounds. I've been to all the games, and I will continue to be at all the games,
period."
Lastly, Auch made the comment to his new employers and Rathernot "Why was
Fisher even it, he only came to one game. It's obvious Jill has a short leash on him. Can
you say shock collar?"
Eight teams entered last Tuesday with one loss, and now
only four have one defeat. Team Slam is 4-1 with a Monday bye, while Bonnett, Kern and
Titze are all 3-1 with two contests before the Prime Time Divisional Challenge
Thursday. Bonnett easily remained No. 1, while Myron Bryant's tenth-place ranking of Team
Slam allowed Kern to leapfrog Slam to the No. 2 spot. Titze was fourth, then Jungman and
Prue rounded out the top six.
Titze's new record 114 points as a team, Bonnett's
third quarter run, and Slam's one-two punch in the run-and-gun propelled them to victories
that have them squarely on the road to the postseason. As for Team Prue and Team Frisby,
they suddenly are back on the bubble with losses to Team Boe and Kruse respectively. Then
Team Shaw was handed a 17-point defeat by Team Picchietti, their first win. In nine days,
the playoff bracket will be filled, but for now there remain many possibilities and
questions.
No. 1 Bonnett lost a heartbreaker 61-56 to Team Kruse,
and No. 2 Kern lost 49-45 to No. 6 Prue. That means now that, in one of the wildest and
most wide open years in IBA history, eight of the 14 squads in the IBA sit with just one
loss, and three nights of regular season play remain. The other undfeated, No. 7 Shaw gave
No. 3 Slam a fight before falling 60-55. The wildest game of the night came when Frisby
knocked off No. 4 Hylle, in three overtimes, 64-62. Jungman slaughtered Lindbloom 72-49,
and Boe kept Picchietti winless with a 55-48 triumph.
No. 1 Team Bonnett remains unbeaten after defeating
Team Hylle. Team Shaw knocked off Team Burger 56-50, as they have quietly gone 2-0. Titze
and Kruse got important wins Thursday night, and the total score of Teams Kern and Slam's
wins was 116-45.
Team Bonnett started slow but finished strong and got a
win in their opener. Team Kern delivered a knockout blow in the early stages and handed
Slam a 16-point defeat in the Prime Time Game of the Night. Team Hylle improved
to 2-0 with a defeat of Lindbloom. Titze ended strong to beat Kruse 47-38. Prue rebounded
from Monday's heartbreak to manhandle Picchietti 62-46, and in the battle of the cellar,
Boe broke a 43-43 tie in the final two minutes to win 47-43.
Tyler Hoffman's shot with 2.5 seconds left won the Prime
Time Game of the Night as No. 3 Team Slam defeated No. 2 Team Prue 51-49. Team Shaw
came back from an 18-7 halftime deficit to defeat Team Boe in overtime. Chad Jungman
outscored Team Kruse himself, scoring 39 in a 55-37 victory. Brian Hylle had 32 of his
squad's 63 points in a big win over No. 5 Titze. Team Frisby's upset of Lindbloom and Team
Kern's domination of Team Burger was what you missed if you didn't watch the opening night
of the Intramural Basketball Associaton.

Intramural Basketball Association is strictly for the roughest, toughest men. No weaklings
